Wild West Show

Here is my Wild West Show series. I decided to take 3 of my illustration teachers and make wanted posters out of them. I wanted to make them into fun characters that had an old west style nick name and crimes that fit their personality. I did them all in watercolor on paper with a limited pallet of just 3 colors to give them that old style look. I also did all the text by hand in watercolor. I did this so when they hang in the show everyone can see the original paintings, I really didn't want to scan them and have to do the type in photoshop and then spend endless hours trying to get the perfect printout. It was more work, but I really enjoy the handmade look to the finish and how the letter fade on some words. I think it was worth it.

Animation final project

This is my final project in animation. I did this using real footage and incorporating an animated creature of mine in flash. The big challenge was getting the animated creature to interact with the real life environment.

Kill Bird animation

Here is an animation I did for class, the project was to animate a rock, cat, and a feather. I decided to put a fun Kill Bill twist on it. The whole animation is done in flash and hand drawn on my tablet. Many hour of fun!

Exterminate in style.

This is an illustration from last semester, It is a pastiche of a J.C. Leyendecker in watercolors

Greekzilla!

This was done for fun in the greek red figure style in watercolor and acrylics. I did this for the Fool's Mansion, From the Depths art show. What if Perseus had to fight godzilla instead of the Krakken :)

the final book cover

This was my final book cover, which is my version of the White Witch from Narnia. I did this one in watercolor with gouache. I really enjoyed playing with the snow effect in this one.

My 6th and 7th book covers

These covers I did as a set for the Tolken book the Silmarillion. I did two different versions, which I painted quickly in acrylic as an experiment. I like the 2nd the best.

5th thesis book cover

This is my 5th book cover for the Star Trek Next Generation novel Vendetta. In this illustration I went back to watercolor and gouache and a bit of watercolor pencil on top.
